lands, which was drawn up at the time of the proposal or
the Military Authorities to build upon the site "ith a view to the better understanding of the title to these lots and ol' matters in dispute concerning them.
Nothing came of the negotiations between the local authorities to settle the question.
3.. On the 3rd.of February last, the General Officer Commanding asked, for the purpose of building married quarters, for an extension of the land already transfcrred to the War Department at Qun Club Hill, and shortly afterwards a third question was intro- duced by an application from the liongKong and Whempos. Dack Company, to purchase from the Colonial Government the foreshore and part of the bed of the sea at Hung- hom Point, and the War Department land comprised in "hat is known as the Dock Battery, together with a portion of the Military reserve abutting thereon.
